1st Wedding Anniversary at Zax Retro-Restrobar

After celebrating our wedding anniversary at Lauremar Beach Resort, during the day, and after the hit-and-run driving encounter we finally made it to Zax Retro Resto Bar where a friend of mine from the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro, Michael Auxillio, had offered to play his violin for Marissa and I.

Marissa told me later it was the first time she had danced with a man, all by herself. That is, before she met me, she would always dance with girlfriends. Since she’s met me I have danced with her once or twice, but always with others from the clan.

You can watch one of two videos I’ve provided, they are both of the same thing, except that the first video is recorded at 158kbps, 320×240, 7.5 MB in size and lasts for 6:48 minutes. The second video is recorded at 55kbps, 160×120, 2.5 MB in size and lasts for 6:48 minutes.

As we went to our seats after the song I saw the glances of several women and I’m not sure how to describe it, it was as if they were telling themselves, “this is what a great husband looks like”. It was not as if they wanted me, it was more like they wanted to get a good look at me so that they might recognize someone like me in the future, for themselves.

I don’t think I’m a great husband, but I am a good husband, and I truly love my wife. However, it was not I that set up the romantic interlude at Zax, it was the idea of my friend Michael Auxillio. Perhaps the difference in being a good husband and a great husband, or the difference between being a good man and a great man, is the friends you have, and Michael Auxillio is a great friend for helping create a wonderful memory that Marissa and I will share together forever.
