Expecting in The Philippines

I am 46 years old and I’ve been married twice before Marissa. For some reason I never wanted a baby before, now there’s a bun in the oven. Due date is January 8, 2008.

I think most of my in-laws thought I was sterile since I started dating Marissa more than two years ago and we’ve been married for more than eight months now.  The only wedding I’ve been to in The Philippines where the bride was not pregnant was my own.

Actually, I’m a calander counter and I know when Marissa is fertile and when she’s not.  That’s why she did not get pregnant for so long.  When we first got married I expected to go a couple of years without a child so that Marissa and I could travel, but two things changed that.  I’m not traveling as much as I expected and my multiple in-law aunts have offered to take care of any baby if we do travel, plus since Marissa’s parents live in the same house with us along with her three brothers, a sister-in-law, and a young nephew and an infant niece, we can travel anytime and just leave the baby at home.
