I figured that if Marissa is going to own guns she might as well learn how to fire them, and hit what she wants to shoot.
That’s Ansell Ladra, above, the local competitive shooting champion who just happens to be Marissa’s cousin and was one of the primary sponsors at our weddingg, instructing Marissa on how to properly grip the Colt 45 1911.

Firing. The .45 is a big gun and has quite a kick for a 95-pound girl, but Marissa handled it with aplomb.
